Jessica Greene

Jessica Greene, the 2010 Girl of the West for Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, is the daughter of Andrea Greene of Castle Rock, Colorado. She will be a senior at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, this fall, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Communications. Jessica is currently on the Horse Judging Team for OSU and competes at many major horse shows. Upon completing her degree, Jessica plans to represent the sport of rodeo on a national level. Through marketing and public relations, she wants to ensure that this great sport is around for generations to come.

Jessica attended Lamar Community College for their Horse Training and Management Program and was the college’s 2007 Most Improved Trainer. She was a 4-H member for nine years, a member of FFA for four years, and is currently a Douglas County 4-H horse project leader. Jessica was royalty for the Douglas County Rodeo in 2003 and 2006.

As the 2009 Aide to Girl of the West and this year’s Girl of the West, Jessica enjoys meeting many wonderful people of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region while promoting the sport she loves. The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo will always hold a special place in her heart because the Rodeo gives all of its proceeds back to the community by helping military families in the Colorado Springs area.

Jessica rides a black overo Paint Horse mare named Classy. She is excited to promote the rodeo this summer and hopes to see you at the 70th Annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo!
